Shaikh Muḥammad al-Kasnazan is the Deputy of the Prophet

A car broke down in front of the door to the fenced land of the takya. Three men got out and started looking at the flag of the takya while I was looking at them. I later learned that one of them was a businessman, the second an engineer, and the third a professor of Sufism whose name was Ḥaidar ʿAlī. They came in and asked about the place, so I explained that it was a takya of Ṭarīqa ʿAliyya Qādiriyya Kasnazāniyya, whose Master is Shaikh Muḥammad al-Kasnazan al-Ḥusseinī (May Allah sanctify his secret), who is the Ghawth of the time.

I told the professor that I would like to ask him a question: “Was it your knowledge or ours that brought you to us?” He asked me to repeat the question. I asked again: “Was it your knowledge or ours, which we take from the All-Knowing, which brought you to us?” The professor did not understand the question. I asked him to sit next to me. His left hand was in a splint due to a fracture. I told him that I would like to give them the pledge, so he asked about it. I started talking about the necessity of having a pledge with a perfect Shaikh, and I started describing what a perfect Shaikh was like. My words touched him so he said that he wanted to take the pledge. I told them that their car will be ready to start after they took the pledge. He said: “Let’s see if what you say is true,” and they took the pledge.

The professor asked whether the car would start now. I replied in the affirmative, saying that Allah had achieved the good that He wanted for them. They wanted to open the bonnet of the car to examine it, but I told them not to do so as I promised that it would start. I asked them to get into the car, close the doors, and start the engine. The professor said: “Let’s check it first,” but I insisted: “No need to check. If the car will not start, then I am a liar.” They did as I asked them to do, and the car did indeed start. Impressed by what happened, the professor disembarked, kissed my hand and foot, and donated five thousand rupees to the takya. He said in astonishment: “How did this happen?” I said: “This is Ṭarīqa Kasnazāniyya.” He said that he would keep in touch as his house was nearby.

The professor came again next day with four or five people. He knelt at the door of the takya before entering. He introduced his companions as friends, before going on to say that he wanted to talk about what happened to him the day before. I thought the professor wanted to recount to his friends the incident of starting the car, but I was completely surprised by what he had to say:

O caliph! After I left yesterday, some doubts developed in my heart. I am a professor of Sufism, so how can this person teach me, give me the pledge… etc.? I felt envious. When I arrived home, I was tired, so I slept. I had a dream in which I saw this same place of the takya and you were sitting in this place and position. As I started getting closer to you, I was surprised that the face was not yours, but that of an older person. That person then called to me, so I sat next to him. He started to say to me the same things you told me. I thought and said to him: “Sir, I heard these words yesterday from someone who was sitting here. He was wearing similar clothes and green cloth, but his face was different.” The person replied: “Yes, that is the caliph of Shaikh Muḥammad al-Kasnazan. I am ʿAlī bin Abī Ṭālib, the caliph of the Messenger of Allah. Because you put your hand in the hand of the deputy of Shaikh Muḥammad you have put your hand in ours.”

The professor started to cry, some of his companions fell into a state of submissiveness, and one of them cried. The professor said that Imam ʿAlī bin Abī Ṭālib went on to say:

We are the family of the house of prophethood. No one on this earth or in the universe has the right to speak on our behalf other than our heir Shaikh Muḥammad ʿAbd al-Karīm al-Kasnazān.

I was stunned to hear this. The professor then said that he would like the friends who came with him to take the pledge and gain the good that he had tasted.

On the same day, I phoned the Shaikh’s servant to tell him about this karāma. He told me that ḥaḍrat Shaikh Muḥammad had said on the previous night that no one but Shaikh Muḥammad al-Kasnazan has the right to speak on behalf of the house of the Prophet (ṣallā Allah ʿalaihi wa sallam).
