Oppressive Husband | Kasnazan Way

At the train station of Tamil Nadu, I met a person from a Hindu family whom I had given the pledge to a year earlier. Allah had healed their daughter of possession by evil spirits. Glory be to Allah, his state was very pleasing. He was very observant and fasted the month of Ramadan. He told me the following:

My brother in law is a Hindu fakir and did not like me embracing Islam. He did not respect his dervish wife either, trying every now and then to create problems. The last of these is that he tried to force her to eat pig meat. She told him: “My teacher, who is the deputy of the Shaikh in India, has taught me to ask for madad from Shaikh Muḥammad al-Kasnazan when I am annoyed by something.” Her husband ridiculed her and tried to force her to eat pig meat. She shouted loudly: “O Shaikh Muḥammad, O Shaikh Muḥammad!” and ran towards the door to escape from the house. When she opened the door she found a giant man who made her stand behind him for protection. He then slapped her husband on his cheek, knocking him down unconscious. He was taken to hospital where he has been unconscious for five days now.

No one, including the wife, knows the man that suddenly appeared at the door. When I asked the Shaikh, he wept and said: “By Allah it was not me but him.” I asked the servant who was conveying to me the words of the Shaikh about whom he meant by “him.” He said: “I do not know, but he pointed to a mat that has an image of the Shrine of the Prophet (ṣallā Allah ʿalaihi wa sallam).”
