Gift from the Prophet to Shaikh Muḥammad al-Kasnazan

Date: Beginning of 2013
Location: Shadab Nagar – Bangalore – Karnataka

I was waiting before the dawn prayer for a phone call from Medina when I dozed off. I saw in my dream a man from Medina present to me an extremely beautiful frame made of gold. It contained a board made of thin wood and covered by a green cloth. The following text was written on two lines and on part of a third line on the cloth:

From Muḥammad the Messenger of Allah to my son, my beloved, and my spirit, Muḥammad ʿAbd al-Karīm ʿAbd al-Qādir.

There were other writings, maybe names, underneath, but they were not clear to me. The frame was rather heavy, but I carried it and was very happy with it. I kissed it several times and wanted to bring it to the Shaikh.

I was then woken up by the phone call from Medina I was waiting for. I heard over the phone the call to the dawn prayer there. The time in India was quarter past eight in the morning.
